Data Security Incident Center

At Sunnyday Gadgets, the security of your personal information is our top priority. We believe in transparency and want to ensure you have the facts regarding any potential or confirmed security incidents.

1. Our Commitment to Transparency

In the event of a data security incident (a “breach”), we follow a rigorous response protocol aligned with Nigerian data protection laws. This includes:

  • Rapid Containment: Taking immediate steps to stop any unauthorized access.

  • Assessment: Determining what data was involved and the potential impact on our users.

  • Notification: Informing affected individuals and the NDPC within the legally mandated timeframes.

2. Active Incidents

There are currently no active security incidents affecting Sunnyday Gadgets customers.

(In the event of an incident, specific details including the date, nature of the breach, and steps taken would be listed here.)

3. What to Do if You are Affected

If we notify you of a security incident involving your account, we recommend the following immediate actions:

  • Change Your Password: Update your Sunnyday Gadgets password immediately. If you use the same password elsewhere, change it there as well.

  • Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Add an extra layer of security to your account settings.

  • Monitor Accounts: Watch for suspicious activity on your bank statements or mobile money accounts, especially if you have saved payment details.

  • Be Alert for Phishing: Be cautious of unsolicited emails or SMS messages asking for personal details, even if they appear to be from “Sunnyday Gadgets.” We will never ask for your password or BVN via SMS.

4. How We Protect Your Data

We employ industry-standard safeguards to prevent incidents before they happen:

  • Encryption: Sensitive data is encrypted both at rest and during transit.

  • Access Control: Only authorized personnel have access to customer databases.

  • Regular Audits: We conduct periodic security reviews of our Nigerian infrastructure to identify and patch vulnerabilities.

5. Reporting a Vulnerability

Are you a security researcher or a customer who has noticed something suspicious? We value your input. Please report any security concerns or potential vulnerabilities to our dedicated security team:

  • Email: security@sunnydaygadgets.com

  • Subject Line: SECURITY VULNERABILITY REPORT
