Google Gives First Official Look at the Pixel 11 Pro Fold Ahead of August Launch Leave a comment

After recently teasing the Pixel 11 Pro, Google has now shifted attention to its upcoming foldable smartphone, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The company released a stylish 15-second teaser video as part of its ongoing “Ask more of your phone” campaign, offering fans an early glimpse of its next-generation foldable device.

The promotional clip carries the message, “To switch phones, you have to be open to what’s new. And to what opens,” a slogan that cleverly highlights both innovation and the phone’s foldable design.

Early Hardware Preview

Although the teaser reveals only limited details, it provides a few hints about the Pixel 11 Pro Fold’s design.

Around five seconds into the video, viewers get a brief look at the rear of the device, showcasing a raised camera module with a pill-shaped camera cutout. The teaser also features an illuminated Google “G” logo on the back panel, although this appears to be a visual effect created for the advertisement rather than an actual hardware feature.

Google Confirms Launch Timeline

Google has also updated its online store with an official countdown timer, while an early product page for the Pixel 11 lineup has appeared on Best Buy’s website. Together, these updates confirm the company’s launch schedule and indicate that customers will be able to reserve the new devices before the official presentation begins.

According to the announced timeline:

EventDateTime
Pixel 11 Series Pre-orders BeginAugust 12, 20267:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET / 2:00 PM GMT
Made by Google 2026 LivestreamAugust 12, 20263:00 PM PT / 6:00 PM ET / 10:00 PM GMT

One of the biggest changes this year is the extended gap between the opening of pre-orders and the keynote presentation. Customers will have approximately eight hours to place their orders before the “Made by Google” event officially starts. By comparison, Google’s previous Pixel launch allowed only about a one-hour window between pre-orders and the live announcement.

The revised schedule suggests a different rollout strategy for the Pixel 11 series and reflects Google’s evolving approach to launching its flagship hardware. More details on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold’s specifications, software features, pricing, and availability are expected during the Made by Google 2026 event.
